We are A fully ZERO WASTE COMPANY! 🌍 ♻️

We are proud to announce we are a fully zero waste company!

We only use glass containers with metal tops to help reduce the consumption of plastic materials. We have done this since day one because we are very passionate about reducing plastic waste. If you didn’t know we offer bottle pick up and drop off for every order. This helps reduce the waste on our planet while also reducing fossil fuels, and green house gases used to produce plastic.

Another amazing thing we are doing to reduce waste is partnering with the Richmond local community farm by providing ALL of our juice, and nut mylk pulp to their community garden as FERTILIZER! How exciting is that! Each time you place an order with Liquified Juicery you are giving back to the earth by providing all natural fertilizer for the community.

What is plastic pollution?

Plastic pollution is the accumulation of plastic objects and particles in the Earth's environment that adversely affects wildlife, wildlife habitat, and humans. Plastics that act as pollutants are categorized by size into micro-, meso-, or macro debris.

How are making plastic bottles causing pollution and using fossil fuels?

Plastic not only poses an immense pollution problem—it also exacerbates climate change. This is because more than 99 percent of plastics are made from fossil fuels, both natural gas and crude oil—and because plastic results in greenhouse gas emissions at every stage of its lifecycle.

What are Fossil Fuels examples?

These fuels are found in the Earth's crust and contain carbon and hydrogen, which can be burned for energy. Coal, oil, and natural gas are examples of fossil fuels. Coal is a material usually found in sedimentary rock deposits where rock and dead plant and animal matter are piled up in layers.

Unfortunately, fossil fuels are a nonrenewable resource and waiting millions of years for new coal, oil, and natural gas deposits to form is not a realistic solution. Fossil fuels are also responsible for almost three-fourths of the emissions from human activities in the last 20 years.

Does producing plastic cause greenhouse gases?

Because single-use plastic is produced from fossil fuels, the process of extracting and creating these plastics emits huge amounts of greenhouse gases. It is estimated that just the extraction of these fossil fuels and their transportation to plastic factories emits 12.5 to 1.5 million metric tons of greenhouse gases.
